Formerly "To China For Kelly"

When I originally set up this blog, it was to chronicle our trip to China to adopt our daughter, Kelly; thus the title, "To China For Kelly." But now that I've decided to keep it up as my on-line scrapbook/journal, the title needs updating.
Inspired by my girls, who, despite their ten year age difference, both love lollipops and lip gloss; it is now titled, "From Lollipops to Lip Gloss." This is not to leave my son out, who also loves lollipops, but isn't too big on lip gloss, understandably!

Please Pray For Kelly Elise!

This is Jen's sister posting, I've just gotten off Skype with Jen and she asked me to fill you guys in on what's going on. They are leaving for Guangzhou early this morning, which is why she didn't post herself.

Jen and Clint got a call last evening from their rep in Hong Kong, saying that Kelly had been in the hospital for the past three days (the 5th - 8th) with a fever. She was released yesterday and they were told that her fever is now gone. The details aren't very clear - they were told that something is going on with her feet and mouth, and she had a fever. I'm not sure if this means she has the Hand, Foot, and Mouth virus or what. They were told that their Gotcha Day was still on and they would simply have to continue the medication that the hospital has given Kelly. For now, that's all we know. Hopefully Jen will get more details today from her representative in Guangzhou.

Will you all please join us in praying for Kelly Elise? Please pray for her healing, for her overall health, and for her to have a peace through all of these scary (for her) new circumstances. Pray for Jen and Clint - for peace through all of the worry, for God to calm their anxious hearts, and for wisdom in caring for Kelly. I know that they are so cherished by all of you and I'm so thankful to be able to reach out like this to those I know will join me in praying over them.

In Christ,
Jen's Sis

Hi Jen!
We will definitely keep Kelly in our prayers and say extra ones for her. I hope she is on the mend soon. Good luck in these next few days--I know there will be so much going on. I hope your first meeting with Kelly will go well. Stay healthy and give Kelly a squeeze for us!

Love you,

Deb

Hi, Jen and Clint...
We are praying for Kelly and you guys. I just put her on the prayer chain. I am going to let Gloria use my user name and password to post a comment since it did not work trying to use hers. You have talked to her on the phone before when you had my cell phone...remember? She is my cousin and she has been following your story via this blog. Oh, she said you talked to her on the phone when you were getting us a room in Santa Rosa once, too. So, just in case you want to know who GLORIA is...Love you!! Anna

Father God, You are a God of WONDER! I thank you for the intercessory prayers of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. I ask in Jesus Name that your heal our precious little Kelly. Give her comfort and free her from this sickness that is unknown to us. We know that you love this little lamb much more than we, so we beseech you to heal her of this affliction. We know too, that You work all things for good for those who are called according to Your purposes. I ask Father, that You comfort Jennifer and Clint, too and relieve their anxieties. I ask that You give wisdom to them in medically caring for Kelly on Gotcha Day. I ask that You protect and surround them with a hedge of ministering angels to meet their every need in the days to come. And Father, give them travel mercies and bring them home safely to us, who love them so. We thank you for the wonder of this adoption and precious Kelly in whom you are intrusting Clint and Jennifer with. I know Father that Kelly will be taught the wonderful Truth of the saving Grace of Jesus. I ask for Your Strength and a greater measure of Grace for Clint and Jennifer during this time. Please grant Kelly's healing and bring renewed vigor to her little body. I ask blessings on my children and my grandchildren. Thank You for Your healing touch and Your amazing love for us. In Jesus Name, I ask that You find Favor in Kelly and her Mommy and Daddy. I know that You wish to give Your children the desires of their hearts. Thank You and amen.

Hi Jennifer and Clint. I know you are getting really excited now that you are nearing that little one. And I'm sure you are feeling better now that some of the jet lag is wearing off. I know little Kelly is going to be just fine. She as well as you and Clint have been in our thoughts and prayers continually and I added all to renew our church's prayer list this morning for protection, wisdom and guidance through this new step in your family's adventure. Thank you, sister Jen for keeping us "hearing" from Clint and Jennifer I really appreciate your keeping up with the communication.
