Formerly "To China For Kelly"

When I originally set up this blog, it was to chronicle our trip to China to adopt our daughter, Kelly; thus the title, "To China For Kelly." But now that I've decided to keep it up as my on-line scrapbook/journal, the title needs updating.
Inspired by my girls, who, despite their ten year age difference, both love lollipops and lip gloss; it is now titled, "From Lollipops to Lip Gloss." This is not to leave my son out, who also loves lollipops, but isn't too big on lip gloss, understandably!

Without Further Ado . . .

Jen's sister posting again . . . there's something I wanted to show you:

I'm going to let Jen fill you in on the details herself, but I wanted to get pictures up to all of you waiting to see Kelly asap!! We Skyped with them at about 4:45 a.m. our time, nearly 8 p.m. their time. Kelly is more beautiful than I ever imagined, and she looks so perfect in Jen and Clint's arms! It was precious to see them together, to see Jen so lit up with happiness and Clint so sweet and tender with his new daughter. Caleb and Camryn were over the moon to finally see her, we are SO thankful for Skype! Kelly seems very healthy other than some drainage, so Praise God!

Sweet Dreams Clint, Jen, and Kelly ~ our prayers cover you as you sleep!

Love,

Auntie

YEAH! Praise the Lord! She is so beautiful. I am just bawling looking at the pictures! How wonderful and so special this day is for Jen and Clint and Caleb and Camryn waiting at home! Kelly looks perfect in your arms you two. Congrats to both of you! And Clint, I see a smile in the picture of you with Kelly on the bed--yippee! Enjoy this precious time and I hope the transition goes as smooth as possible!

Love to you both,

What a beautiful little angel! I love the picture of Kelly "checking out" her Daddy's face! Oh, My! She looks very content and trusting and "at home" in ya'lls arms! What a precious time! What a reflection of the Love of God. He chose us as His children and He chose Kelly to be yours! To think that all of this was predetermined before the foundation of the Earth! Isn't He amazing! This WAS a LONG delivery! ;-) I am estatic for you!

Love knows no language. In the sixth picture Kelly so attentively listens to Mommy's voice. Is she a "blankie baby"? I noticed the little blanket/cloth she is holding and sleeping with. "Blankie babies" are so sweet! I so love her from here! I know that Camryn and Caleb are tickled and anxious to touch you all! Sweet dreams. Sleep well.

I LOVE the picture of her with Clint where they are just taking each other in! Nancy, she has a little white cloth that has been her "lovey" at the SWI - I only watched her for about 20 minutes but let me tell ya - that girl LOVES her lovey, lol!

I didn't realize how big the grin on my face was until I reached the end of Sister Jen's blog - thank you Jen. This is the happiest of reunions - parents and child - she's home at last, for that is anywhere she is in her parent's arms. You have her? I mean she's completely discharged from the orphanage and in your room at the hotel? No going back? What happens next?

I couldn't stop singing Dad's favorite hymn this morning while getting ready for work.."How Great Thou Art" and then when I heard about the wee hour skype call and then a couple of hours later got to see pictures....my heart really couldn't stop singing and tears of joy were flowing! God is soooo good, He has blessed us beyond all we could ever imagine!! You are a beautiful family! Give Kelly lots of hugs and kisses (especially those yeau-yeau toes)from Grammie.

This is so exciting!!!!! It brings tears to my eyes. Thank you for letting us be apart of it with you. Braiden just asked me, "mom have you ever wanted to adopt?" He looked at the pictures and said, "she is so cute, I just want to touch her little chin." Keep the updates coming when you can. It feels like we are with you :)

Love you, Merl

I have tears in my eyes, too, but I can still see the joy and love on your faces! And Kelly does not have a smidgeon of fear or uncertainty in her face. She looks totally at ease. She looks like she is checking you out in some of the ones I can see her face more clearly but NO FEAR! Praise God you are finally together! Love, Anna <><
