Formerly "To China For Kelly"

When I originally set up this blog, it was to chronicle our trip to China to adopt our daughter, Kelly; thus the title, "To China For Kelly." But now that I've decided to keep it up as my on-line scrapbook/journal, the title needs updating.
Inspired by my girls, who, despite their ten year age difference, both love lollipops and lip gloss; it is now titled, "From Lollipops to Lip Gloss." This is not to leave my son out, who also loves lollipops, but isn't too big on lip gloss, understandably!

Gardening with Mommy

We had some beautiful weather over the weekend, so we were able to get out and do some much-needed gardening. Kelly loved getting in the dirt- a little too much so! (You can see she tried eating some!)
She loves to be outdoors, but it's been so hot this summer that we haven't been able to spend much time outside. You can see she was fighting a cold with that runny nose, but she was still very happy just to have some sun shining down on her! And isn't she too adorable in that sweet little ladybug hat?

Oh Kelly!! Eating dirt?
Sweet Love, you are ONLY supposed to do that when someone double dog dares you.

Sheesh, I can see you really do need Auntie to be around more, making sure you're doing things in the right order.
And to think, when you first came home, we couldn't get ANYTHING in your mouth!!

Love,
Auntie

Thank you, thank you, dearest Auntie, for enlightening your sweet, naive niece as to the order in which things are supposed to be done! Yes, who'd have thought this was the same girl who wouldn't open her mouth so much as a centimeter for anything but a bottle three months ago!?! Guess we need to feed her more so she doesn't keep eating dirt, for heaven's sake!
Love you,
Jen

Actually, I'm worried - is dirt a double, or a triple dog dare? I just can't remember!
