Formerly "To China For Kelly"

When I originally set up this blog, it was to chronicle our trip to China to adopt our daughter, Kelly; thus the title, "To China For Kelly." But now that I've decided to keep it up as my on-line scrapbook/journal, the title needs updating.
Inspired by my girls, who, despite their ten year age difference, both love lollipops and lip gloss; it is now titled, "From Lollipops to Lip Gloss." This is not to leave my son out, who also loves lollipops, but isn't too big on lip gloss, understandably!

We're Back On-Line!!

Finally- some new pictures!!!
Silly baby girl loves to stick those feet between the crib slats when she sleeps! (And there's her little white towel- still her favorite!)

Eating one of her favorites- chili beans- with bed head from her nap.

First day of school for Camryn. I don't know what happened, but eek- I forgot to get one of Caleb!

Camryn is forever working on bows and headbands with Kelly. I won't push Kelly if she doesn't like something, but not Camryn- she's much more determined than I! Almost every picture you see of Kelly with a bow, headband, or hat on, is because of Camryn. She won't back down to Kelly, and Kelly's surprisingly accepting that! She's to the point now that when Camryn has put a bow in her hair and she pulls it out, she goes over to Camryn to give it back to her because she knows Camryn's going to put it right back in anyway!

Oops- here goes the reach for the headband!

And out it comes...

Ah, but Camryn's not discouraged so easily... how about a little white bow instead? Oh, and did you notice... Kelly now RIDES Piglet! That's thanks to Camryn too!

Cutie patootie on her Piglet!

This was on Kelly's Baby Dedication Day. I wanted to get a picture of her in her dress. I have video of her dedication I've tried uploading, but obviously, to no avail... but now that we have a new modem, I'm going to try again... soon.

Caleb helps me to take Kelly outside for a photo shoot...

We got the bow in her hair... now can we get a smile?

This grass feels kinda weird, Momma!

But YAY for me, I'm sitting in it anyway!

Looking cute in her Kelly green bow and stripes!

This was one of my favorite shots, but I was so frustrated- the shadow across her eyes ruined it... oh well, it's still sweet, 'cause it's Kelly, of course.

If anyone even checks our blog anymore, I just want to apologize for the extremely long absence!

Our wireless modem broke, and Earthlink took their sweet time sending a replacement (since we refused to pay $39.95 to expedite shipping), so we were off-line for nearly two weeks. By the time we were back up, we were heading to the coast for the holiday weekend, so now we're finally back and getting settled and I am finally able to sit down and post some new pictures!

I have so many to share from the past several weeks- I'll probably do a batch at a time so keep checking back. I'd really love to check out Picasa and post them in a more artistic way, but I don't know if I'll have the time. (Babies and computers don't mix too well!)

I do have to say- Kelly is so darned active, and my camera has a slight delay, so you don't know how difficult that makes it to get a good photograph of her. It's nearly impossible! For every picture you see, I bet I take at least 5 bad ones (of her looking away or down)! But even though Kelly's difficult to photograph, she's a complete joy in every other way. Is she changing? I see her every day, so it's hard for me to tell..?

Yay! Yay! Yay!

I will immediately cross your name off "My List". However, I'm leaving the space blank just in case you ever go that long without posting pictures again. If you do that, your name is going RIGHT back on there missy sissy!!

Is it even possible that Caleb looks even TALLER???? He can't look taller, can he?? And Camryn looks, as always, like such a beautiful little lady. There is something downright ethereal about her, don't you think? And Kelly - oh you little gorgeous baby you are making it so painful for me to live in Colorado!

Love,
Auntie

I am thrilled that you got the new modem in! I was having withdrawal! LOL! I just love all the pictures! Even the one with the shadow. The green and white stripe tee is precious on Boo. I love *that* green on Boo! She is so happy and content looking. Does she go from room to room during the school day looking for her big sis and bro? Caleb and Camryn have gotten so tall! How tall is Kelly now and what sizes is she in? Camryn's first day of school picture is lovely. I bet the boys were swooning! Caleb is so handsome... I hope the girls aren't calling, yet! I can not wait to come out and see all of you and meet my newest grand daughter... maybe next Spring Break or Summer. My love to all! Nanna

I'm glad I'm back in your good graces, sissy, and Nanna, I hope your withdrawals have subsided. I will try to never let you go without Kelly pictures for that long ever again. Bad sister/daughter-in-law!
Yes, Caleb is growing so stinkin' fast it's almost inconceivable! (Jen, do you hear my guy from Princess Bride voice? That's how I said it just for you ;)
Caleb is actually now officially taller than me. We measured him a couple of days after his birthday and he is 5' 7 1/4" tall! I'm 5'7" so he's passed me up and is quickly working towards surpassing his dad's height as well. Camryn's getting so tall too and while Kelly's nowhere near either one of them, she is a good size little thing for her age. I don't know her exact height, I'll have to measure her, but I think last she went to the doctor they showed me that she was somewhere around the 90% range, so she is definitely a good-sized baby! She's still wearing her 12-18 month stuff, but every week I have to put more 12-month stuff up because it just doesn't fit anymore, so she's pretty true to the 18 month size now. Funny though, her shoulders are narrow, so 18-24 month stuff swallows her!
Must run, thanks for the notes! Love you guys,
Jen
